Eligibility criteria of the personalized employment pass
As mentioned earlier, a Personalized employment pass is mainly for high-profile professionals and management, and the eligibility is based on the salary you have obtained in the previous months.
Eligibility criteria are as follows:
- You should be a current employment pass holder and draw a fixed monthly salary of at least S$12,000 month in Singapore.
- For, an overseas foreign professional should have previously drawn a monthly salary of S$18,000. You should obtain this salary from the previous six months to get eligible to apply for the personalized employment pass.

- If you are an editor, sub-editor, producer or journalist.

A PEP holder needs to follow the below-mentioned requirement in order to continue holding the pass:
- A PEP holder should not be unemployed for more than six months.

For Employment Pass (EP) Holders
In case you already have an employment pass, you do not need to present any additional documents. Moreover, you only require to fill the below-mentioned details on your Personalised Employment Pass (PEP) application form:
- Valid passport details of the applying candidates

- The details salary and job, if applicable

For Overseas Based Applicants
If you do not hold any employment pass, then you will need to submit the following for a personalized employment pass:
- A copy of the particular personal page of the applicant passport
- Copy of the resume and academic certificates
- Older or new employment contracts
- Salary proof of previous three months
- Updated tax statement

How to apply for the personalized employment pass?
- Candidates have two options to submit their personalized employment pass application form either online through EP online system or by visiting any Sing Post branch. (If you prefer to submit your application form online, you must choose an authorized employment agency).
- After your application gets approved, the ministry of manpower will issue you an In-principle letter by the name of the applying candidate.
- After receiving the In-principle letter, you will get six months to receive a personalized employment pass.
- After that, the candidates must register their fingerprints and quickly get their photographs taken prior to issuing the personalized employment pass(PEP).

What is the Personalised Employment Pass (PEP) Processing time?
- The application form for applying for a personalized employment pass filed online gets processed within three weeks.
- The personalized employment pass application form submitted through the post requires a processing time of up to 8 eight weeks.
- After your application for the personalized employment pass gets approved, you will get an In-principle letter valid only for six months. The candidate is needed to collect the pass from the ministry of manpower office in Singapore. Also, the candidates must bring the documents as mentioned by the ministry of manpower in the letter.
- The validity period of the personalized employment pass is three years. Can Personalised Employment Pass (PEP) be renewed?
- This employment pass is usually a one-time issue work pass. There is no renewal policy of this pass after they expire.

An applicant who is a PEP holder or any of the employment agents can proceed to cancel the PEP if the pass holder has not been employed for more than a period of 6 months. You can cancel the pass immediately on the EP system online. If you are proceeding to cancel the pass, ensure the Short-term visit pass for 30 days. Moreover, if you are(PEP holder) still in Singapore, you will get your pass within one week of cancellation.
Replacing the PEP
If the PEP card is damaged, lost, or stolen, then the PEP holder itself or any of the employment has to request the replacement within seven days. At the time of stolen, the pass holder has to file a police report.
