Who qualifies for the Training Employment Pass?
In order to qualify for the Training Employment Pass, you must be either:

Required documents to apply for the Training Employment Pass.
As mentioned above, your employer requires you to submit the application for your TEP Singapore. With the application, they will require to attach some of the following documents:
- Copy of the Personal details page of the valid passport.
- Passport size photo as per the Singapore photo requirements.

Applying for the Training Employment Pass
If you are not present in Singapore at the time of your application process, no problem as its not mandatory for you to present in Singapore as the whole application procedure will manage by the employment agency or by the employer. Your employer will be applying for the training employment pass on your behalf.
But before your employer applies for your application, you will help you provide them a letter of consent mentioning that you agree to your employer for submitting the application. After receiving the content, the employer can start the application process. The process is as follows:
- To start the application process employer need to visit the EP online, MOM’s online application tool (as MOM is the sole in charge of all the work permits and passes issued)

- Your Disembarkation/Embarkation card.
- Evidence showing that you have undergone the medical examination.

Registering your fingerprints and pictures
If your notification letter states that you have to register your picture and fingerprints, you must do it within two weeks of entering Singapore.

Cancel a training employment pass
You should cancel the training employment pass if the training has come to an end. After the cancellation of the pass, you should ensure to cut the pass from the middle to prevent misuse.

Before you cancel the pass, you must:
- Provide prior reasonable notice to the pass holder.
- Clear all the outstanding due to the pass holder along with the payment of salary.
- Buy them an air ticket to the pass holder for their home country and pay the complete transport expenses until the pass holder agrees to bear it on its own.
When to cancel the pass
To cancel the pass, you will require to submit the cancellation require 14 days in advance.
The latest pass canceled is one week after the pass holder’s last day of training.
After your pass gets expired, you won’t have to cancel it. However, if the pass holder still wishes to stay in Singapore, they will require submitting an application for issuing the Short term visit pass to stay in Singapore legally.
How to cancel
- To cancel the pass, you will require logging in to the My MOM Portal.
- If the pass holder wants to live in Singapore, you can submit a request for the 30-day STVP to stay in Singapore legally.
